Located about 33 miles south of Mobile, AL and connected to land by the Dauphin Island bridge, Dauphin Island is a beautiful barrier Island on the Gulf of Mexico.
The original first settlement of French Louisiana, Dauphin Island recently celebrated it's 300th anniversary!
The Town of Dauphin Island is home to approximately 1500 residents. The Island is popular with vacationing families, golfers, boaters, fishermen and birdwatchers.

- The Oar House- After extensive renovations to a unique Island building, Doug Ford's restaurant has opened to rave reviews! Across from the Public Beach.
- Flamingo Faye's- Great lunch or dinner, in the clubhouse of the Isle Dauphine golf course.
- The Rusty Pelican- Local favorite, family-style restaurant near the Marina
- Lighthouse Bakery- Baked goods, sandwiches, etc.
- Barnacle Bill's- Popular place, near the D.I. bridge, on the right-hand side.
- Baudean's- About a 30 minute drive up the Dauphin Island Parkway, but well worth the trip. Outstanding Louisiana seafood (sorry- no website).
