We have seen some small tarballs, but they have been very scattered. A helicopter overflight on Sunday showed no oil near Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, or Gulf Shores, but some amounts still remaining around Orange Beach/Pedido Key.
According to the latest NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) predictions, the oil is passing south of Dauphin Island, drifting northeast. Dauphin Island is not predicted to be impacted by the oil through the next 72 hours, with the possible exception of some scattered tarballs.
